Worries when in locker room

Well I'm 14 and am not pleased with having to change and take showers in gym next year. I just can't get over it, I find it degrading and un needed. I don't feel right with other people (especially other men!) seeing my genitals, nor am I exited to see theirs.

This may be a taboo topic, but I really need advice.

I don't see why you would need to take showers in school. I, any other classmates, did in our regular gym class and we weren't expected to.

Maybe it's different at your school?

Next year is my first year of high school, and also, schools vary in what they want you to do.
