Would Ibuprofen help with muscle pain?

Hi! My sister is very active. She runs every morning for an hour or rides her bicycle. She goes to the swimming pool twice a week and sometime she plays tennis too. I am not so active and she always criticizes me. Since I got few kilos I decide to run with her too. I started to run every morning five days ago and I have terrible muscle pain now. Would Ibuprofen help with my muscle pain?

Hello! It is nice you decided to be active but you have to be careful. If you haven practiced any activity for a longer period of time and then start intensively without any plan you could be in problem. Your muscles are inflamed and you feel pain. Ibuprofen is used to treat pain and inflammation and it can be useful in your case. It will decrease the perception of pain, but you should consult someone who could help you in planning your activities in order to avoid such condition you described.
