Would Sotalol interact with antibiotics?

I have to admit that I am concerned about my mother. She is 70 years old and she is starting having heart problems. For now, it is arrhythmia only, but I know that it is far from mild condition. She is also using some antibiotics for her other conditions and now she was prescribed with Sotalol. Would that new med interact with antibiotics?

You haven’t mentioned what other antibiotics she is already using but there is a high possibility of some interaction, major or minor. I guess she has mentioned her previous conditions and therapies to her doctor and I guess that Sotalol prescription will not make things worse. But if that happens, you should immediately contact her doctor in order to change the therapy.
