Wound healing very slowly in diabetics? Why?

Hi! I'm a diabetic. I need an information from somebody who knows some more about diabetes. I read that people with diabetes can have serious problems with wound healing and that can lead to the severe complications. Is it truth that wound is healing very slowly in diabetics? And can somebody tell me why. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it's true. Diabetes is a multisystem disorder that affects the wound healing process. The healing of wounds is a problem for people with diabetes because they don't have good blood glucose control or have circulatory problems. I heard that there is a drug that could help wounds heal more quickly. It can be useful.
