Just to give voice for the other side, I've been taking YAZ for about 6 weeks now and when I first started I had major panic attacks daily, sometimes more, and appetite problems (I'd be starving and then nauseous and then crave something desperately and then be sick at the thought of it, etc.), but now they are starting to dissappear. I still have panic attacks occasionally (every 2 or 3 days) and have to work at the appetite thing, but it's not nearly as bad.

I was on yaz for about 6 weeks and it was horrible. By the 5th week I had lost all sex drive and lubrication during sex or anytime for that matter. Now, almost a month later since I have been off yaz, I still have these problems and I have abnormal amounts of vaginal discharge where I sometimes have to wear a tampon to be relieved of it. I dont know how to make this stop but I'm going to the gyno soon so hopefully I will get back to normal.

my god I thought I was the only one! except I have been on this cr*p for 7 months! I've been away at college and couldnt get an appointment. thankfully I will be seeing the doctor in two weeks FINALLY! I can;t stand it anymore. I don't have the discharge problem, though. I just havent been able to be intimate with my boyfriend at all.

i've been on yaz for about 5 months now. in the beginning, i was hardly experiencing any negative side effects, but i've found that in the the past month or two i have been becoming increasingly emotional/anxious and suffering mood swings. i feel like crying at random times for reasons that aren't even really that important. i've also been pretty jealous and sometimes insecure when normally i wouldn't be. i find that i worry a lot and have to talk myself out of emotional lows. my boyfriend has commented on this before, that i seem changed, but i never really thought much of it. however, after reading these reviews, i have been wondering if yaz is the culprit. i have an appointment with my gyno on the 29th and am definitely talking to her about this and possibly switching.

i've been on yaz for 3 cycles now. i'm on my 4th pack. i'm disturbed by some of the things i've noticed and love others... this pill seems to mimick the feeling of pregnancy very very closely for me. i'm worn out, lightheaded, cravings that come and go in a blink of an eye, one minute starving, next nauseus, etc. but my acne has cleared up quite a bit and i'm not getting the same amount of headahces i have on other bcp.... but on the flip side again, i've gained about 15 lbs and am on a constant emotional roller coaster just like when pregnant. ive acted so pregnant at times that my fiance has asked me to go pee on a stick. everything has been negative thus far.

my biggest problem though is the inconsistent cycles. ive never had breakthrouigh bleeding with other pills, but every the first and third cycles i had this and basically no period at all. the 2nd cycle was breakthrough bleeding free, and only a very minimal period.

i can;t figure out what this pill is doing!

I am almost finished with my second pack of Yaz. I have gained weight, my breasts hurt all the time, and I feel extremely fatigued. I switched from Ortho Tri-Cyclen to Yaz because my doc said it may help my skin...I'd been having problems with melasma & some acne. I haven't noticed any change in my skin, so I am going back to the Ortho Tri-Cyclen. Maybe I should give Yaz more time, but I feel like I'm starving all the time! I don't want to gain a bunch of weight for nothing.

As horrible as I hate to hear that you all are having so many problems in a way it's a relief to me, because I thought something was really wrong with me. I'm typically a very laid back person, don't have problems with anxiety and I deal with stress well. I've been a been a trainwreck ever since I started this medication. My anxiety gets so bad that I have trouble breathing and at times I seclude myself from my family, so I don't snap at them {something I rarely used to do}I cry because I get so frustrated and I get annoyed easily. I started YAZ a little over 3 months ago, I spotted for 2 weeks and then had a period when I started the pills you take for 4 days. The second month I spotted for a week again in the middle of the pack, then when it was time for a period, it never came. I just spotted brown for half a day maybe and that was it. Took a couple pregnancy tests and they were negative. i talked to my doc and he said to give it another month. Again the same thing happened with the spotting and no real period.
I even asked my husband last night if he had noticed a change in my personality recently, and he said he defiantly did. That I'm anxious, nervous, jittery, snappy and more moody. I never had PMS to begin with, so I don't know why my doctor put me on this medicine! I've lost a considerable amount of weight and I'm tiny to begin with, so it's definatly not a good thing. My contacts bother me significantly, I feel I'm always putting eye drops in.
The only good thing is that my skin cleared up alot, which i am happy about, but it's not worth my whole personality doing a 360. I'll deal with the acne, I liked who I was before I started this medication, so it has to go!

I have been on Yaz for 5 months now. Every month is getting worse. I have anxiety and SEVERE mood swings!! When I start crying I can't stop! & it happens for no reason!
Lately I have been having stomach issues. My stomach is constantly upset and there is a burning sensation. I am not sure if this has anything to do w/ Yaz.
is anyone else feeling like this????

I've been on Yaz for a month.

I was diagnosed with Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was put on Metformin [an insulin pill] and Yaz to even things out and I was also put on an appetite surpressor [phentermine] to help me start losing weight.

I haven't had really any BIG problems. I've been kind of emotional.. but that's also a side effect of Phentermine. So. I'm not worried about emotionaly problems, as I had them before I even got any of the medicine.

My only problem is I just finished my first pack of pills and I start spotting and then I went into a light period before I even got to the white pills. Then I went straight into another pack. But when I started taking the white pills I started getting a really heavy flow. I felt like I had to go to the restroom all the time. Its not as bad now..

I have PCOS so.. this maybe normal because this is actually my second period ever.. pretty much.. in my life and I am 19.

So. I'm not having any real problems with Yaz. I think my problems are attributed the the fact its my body getting used to being on birth control. rofl.

I have been on Yaz since November of 2006 (So I think that makes it about 5 months now). I haven't had any real problems up until this month. Friends have said I seem moody although I don't recognize it in myself. Before this month, I have had no side effects. Last week my breasts were really sore. That stopped but now today I had spotting. Is it wierd to be normal and then start having problems 4-5 months into taking the pill?
I worry a bit that I might be pregnant although i think there is a very low chance. I have had periods every month and have not had full intercourse since November (and I have always used condoms in addition to birth control) when I started taking the pill. (Although we have had oral sex and things like that) Could these side effects actually be a pregnancy? I have been so careful and the mere thought of taking a pregnancy test freaks me out.
ANy help would be appreciated.
