Yasmin birthcontrol

On sunday May 20th I got my period and started Yasmin birth control. Since then I STILL have my period. Usualy my period only lasts about 5 days, but it has been 9 days and my period is still around.
Is there something wrong? Is this normal to have your period this long when first starting birth control?
