Bubble2008- Yeah i think a test would be useful

Im only on my first pack of Yaz and im on the 2nd white, inactive pill. I haven't gotten my period yet, and it does feel unnatural but i'd hate to get it on my first active pill. The last pack i was taking was Loestrin Fe 24 and i spotted every single day through the active pills. I love Yaz because it really does take away the physical and emotional symptoms. No, my insurance doesn't cover the cost each month, but i think it's worth it. The only cramping i get is a few days before the inactive pills, but they come on random times and it's 1/10th as bad as my regular cramps.

Thanks everyone for posting your stories, it's really helped me understand my late period better.

I'm really glad to have found this website; it seems that everyone is experiencing the same thing I am. I was on Ortho Lo for about 4 years when my doctor recommended I swtich to yaz. I am now in my fourth month on the new pill and I've been getting really concerned about the essential nonexistence of my period. The first month it was about 1 and a half days and now its only about a day and so light its barely noticeable.

I'm going back to see my doctor next month and I'm going to ask him more about this and how it can affect future sexual health, pregnancy, etc. I can definitly relate to the others who are feeling nervous about being pregnant as it seems not having a real period gives us no way to assure we've been taking the pill correctly.

Also, as far as those who are experiencing a lower sex drive: the first two months I was on yaz my sex drive was way down, but I really think it had to do with my body adjusting to the pill (it was also partly in my head). My sex drive is basically back to normal!

Question for everyone here: does anyone find themselves experiencing more vaginal dryness or slight pain during sex after using Yaz? I also find that I need more sleep than usual, although that may be the result of a new schedule, anyone else?

I have been on Yaz for 5 months now. The first month I got my period on the last white pill in the pack. However, for the last 4 months I haven't gotten a period at all. I am definitely not pregnant as I had a blood test to prove so. I'm thinking this is normal with Yaz since there are only 4 inactive pills instead of 7.

Just to add another experience into the mix. I've never been on the pill before in my life. Yaz is my first oral bc experience, and I've just finished my first pack. I didn't get my period until noon on the day after taking my first pink pill of the second pack. So: I took my first white pill on Monday (10pm), last white pill on Thursday (10pm), first pink pill of 2nd pack on Friday (10pm), and experienced normal cramps and got my period at noon on Saturday. My obgyn said not to worry!

yes i'm definitely glad to see that everyone is experiencing similar problems. i am on my first pack of Yaz (after being on estrostep for about 2.5 years) and i am on the 2nd day of white pills with no period/bleeding yet. all of the usual period symptoms are there: cramping, bloating, acne, breast tenderness, etc. i will just sit tight and expect my period to come on the last day of white pills just like everyone else

I am so thankful for this message board!

I just finished my second pack on Saturday (took inactive pill Sunday). Today is the start of my third inactive and I still have not gotten my period... I was very worried because my husband has stopped "pulling out" since I was on the pill. I was (maybe still am) worried that this is the reason for my no-show period. It is very nerve-racking to think you may be pregnant!

Thanks for the stories ladies.

All I've got to say is "AMEN" for this forum.
I've been freaking out for 2 days, while my boyfriend keeps hounding me to check if I'm bleeding yet, haha!

I used to get my pill like clockwork on Ortho-Tri-Lo, every Monday between 6am-12pm. This is my first month on my Yaz [and of course, I had unprotected sex] and it's now Tuesday [day three of inactive pills to be taken tonight] and no period.

It's so very comforting to see that this is a common problem with the Yaz. It does say on the website that it tricks the body into not ovulating, which obviously, will not give you a period if you're unfertilized. I'll go into my first pink pack not worrying as much, and then try a pregnancy test if my boyfriend [like I intend him to] get too paranoid, haha.

Thanks ladies!

I've been on Yaz for 2 and a half weeks now. I had sex 2 weeks ago. Now for the past week I'm more tired than normal, nauseous, constipated, breasts and nipples tender, depressed, and it is making me nervous. I've read that Yaz can make you feel this way but I am still worried that I may be pregnant. What do you all think, is it the Yaz making me feel this way or am I pregnant?
