I've been on YAZ for a Year now and I still have 2 to 3 heavy periods every month! I stop for a couple days and it comes right back!! EVERY SINGLE month since i Started YAZ and also I NEVER EVER had migraines until I started YAZ !!!!!!!!!!! I get migraines atleast 4 times if not more every single month!! YAZ is HORRIBLE it makes me tired and I see no difference in my mood swings they might be worse because YAZ drains my energy!! I used to take yasmin which i never had a problem with just moodiness! I wish my doctor would put me back on yasmin!

I was on Yaz for 10 days before the side effects kicked in. I started to feel very dizzy at work with a headache and nausea. I thought I was getting sick. I went to the doctor and he suggested that is was the Yaz. Today is the first day I am not taking the pill. They said it might take 2 -3 days for the medicine to get out of my system and the constant dizziness goes away. I would say the way I feel is like I have been drinking. I hope it goes away soon. I will never take YAZ again.

THe first 3 months were typical of starting a new birth control (painful breasts, cramps, exteme PMS). THen I thought it was getting better/ easier to deal with for about 2 months- but now for the past 5 months it seems to be only worse- Im an emotional rollercoaster, with a tightness in the chest, worried thoughts, grindnig teeth, clenched fists constantly. I am a very cheerful/ optomistic person when not on any pills. I have never noticed YAZ to lessen any period symptoms like it advertised to- it only worsens them for me!

Just try to be grateful that you don't really have a problem! Most women on bc are worried about and dealing with their struggle with acne... weight issues... depression... Tons of things that are actual problems! You should be happy your biggest problem is being on your period! That's nothing to women who actually have problems! So, smile because you don't have to deal with the things that stronger women have to deal with. Very Happy

I've been on YAZ for about 2 1/2 years and when I first started taking it, I noticed such a huge turn around in how I felt. I had been on Yasmin prior to switching to YAZ. The first year or so were great; I felt happy and I didn't experience any of the moodiness I had previously. Now, however, I find myself so on-edge and irritable (about 1-1 1/2 weeks prior ot my period). I feel like it's the BC because up until that point, I'm fine; I don't feel like any little thing will set me off.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I hate feeling like this. Crying or Very sad

seriously get off yaz while you still are sane. i have never had bad experiences with bc until yaz. after six months of it i was diagnosed with panic disorder severe depression where i was in bed for months. i never had blood pressure problems but then i developed POTS where my blood pressure would go to 50/20. i have vision problems, ibs and whatnot. most of the symptoms cleared when i got off the pill but i still have horrible anxiety and depression and moments where i feel like im not real. its very scary and i regret ever starting yaz

sorrow133,

WOW I am surprised because my story is sooo similar to yours!!!! Actually a slight bit different, I stopped Yaz it was in the middle of a pack and i took some here and there, the worst way to do it. Then i had severe panic attacks, depression, anxiety was high. It was the worst!! After 3 months I am doing better, but still have moments!! I got the not real feeling, you just have to accept it and go on because the same thing happened to me it was so scary and it was the worst ever. I am hoping to get off BC completely. This is very very difficult!

I was on Yaz for two months and felt irritable and tired. I gained weight and my breast went from a large C to DD! It was terrible! Nothing fits now. Sad I went from loving my boyfriend to feeling nothing and not wanting him to even touch me.

What's the point of being on birth control if I don't ever want to have sex?

I stopped taking my Yaz on Thursday and am already feeling so much better. I actually feel happy, like life is worth living and I'm not snapping at my kids.

I have a dr. appt at the end of the month and I'm asking for a diaphragm. I've had enough of hormones and it's obvious that the makers of YAZ either didn't test it thoroughly, or don't care about the side affects.

Also, if your dr won't switch prescriptions, get a new dr. There is NO reason to keep taking a pill that is driving you crazy. None at all! For some reason a lot of docs are pushing this pill. Are they getting paid for every prescription they fill?
