Zithromax and Seasonale

Hi, I am 24 years old and I am taking Seasonale for some time already. I think it is really great pill but I am worried because I have bronchitis and I have to take Zithromax. I have heard that antibiotics lower efficiency of birth control pills so I would like to know if it is true. Thank you.

Hi, combination of antibiotics and birth control pills is not good. Antibiotics have effect on the level of estrogen in the body so it may cause opposite effects to the birth control pills. However it would be good to consult your doctor because short time taking of antibiotics doesnt have to make some big changes.
