Zoloft causing tinnitus

I am on Zoloft for only a week for the depression â€“it is a mild form but still I was prescribed Zoloft. And do you think that Zoloft is causing tinnitus for ever since I started taking it my head is like in drum â€“sounds from anywhere I think that it is Zoloft causing tinnitus though I had this tinnitus sensation before started the Zoloft treatment but the fact is that tinnitus has much worsened with Zoloft. Should I stop taking it?

No I don't think you should stop taking Zoloft for I think Zoloft is not causing your tinnitus. There are some other proofs regarding tinnitus-it is actually proved that depressed persons basically have this tinnitus problem that usually comes along with the depression or even it might be that the constant-even if it is silent-tinnitus might cause depression itself. So I am positive for the Zoloft is the best form of SSRI that is not causing any side effects if taken as prescribed and so taking Zoloft might help you feel better regarding the depression but also regarding tinnitus itself. Anyway discuss this issue once again with your doc.
