My boyfriend of 6 month's often complains that the head of his penis is painfully sensitive & I have noticed that he does not reach climax as often as I'd expect from my experience with men. I have examined the area & everything looks normal. He's a very healthy physically fit 47 year old that prior to me, had sexual relations maybe 10 times in a 5 in a half year period. He had 2 sexual partners in that 5 in a half year period & all sex was unprotected. One sexual partner was his ex-wife that was cheating through out the marriage (he was unaware) & the other was a one night stand shortly after his ex moved out. My question is-is he sensitive due to lack of sexual activity? Could he have contracted an STD that is causing this? If so, what STD would it be? How long could an STD take to show symptons? Could it take longer to show with very little sexual activity? If this is simply due to lack of activity, what can be done to eliminate this? Any creams to desensitize the area?

A lil' about me, I have for the most part praticed safe sex (condoms) except with my late husband & my boyfriend. I have never had a Gyno. appointment where there was a concern about any STD's.

I really need some answers on this subject. I love him so much and want to please him & be pleased by him!! Wink Plus, I am only 36 & in my sexual prime and this does cause some frustration for me. But not enough frustration to stray, that's not an option or issue for me either. He owns my heart!!

Thanks for any & all feedback!!

I reckon he should see a doctor about his condition. He may decide to see an urologist or a venereologist. I can’t think of any std that would be casuing such sensitivity of the glans without having any other symptoms.

Did he say his penis was always this sensitive or not?

Some guys do have very sensitive heads, especially if they are constantly under the foreskin (if he has one). In that case, he may have to expose the glans more and even touch it although it is sensitive, so that the area/skin would become thicker and less sensitive.

But I would definitely not do anything on my own if I were you/him. It would be best if he got checked, so you two can know for sure what the problem may be.

And see if his condition matches mine. I wouldn't say it's due to inactivity. The average male (whether in a relationship or not) may masturbate once or more times every couple of days. (obviously getting younger it would be more frequently per day). But let me know how you get on, would be good for me to know what's happening for my sake too.
