will a pregnancy test be positive if you are taking birth control pills? and is it possible to just have a very, very light light period while on the pill just due to stress?

A positive pregnancy test means the test picked up HCG in your blood. HCG is the hormone that your body secretes during pregnancy. The only possible way that the test could be false is due to ovarian tumors and cysts of some kind. It is possible to get pregnant while on the pill, so if you are getting a positive pregnancy test you need to see your doctor immediately about the pregnancy. You don't want to take BC pills while you are pregnant, especially if you want to keep the baby.
