how widespread naturopathic practice is?

I heard some things about naturopathic medicine and practice and like it a lot. But I am 40 years old and I read about it only a few months ago. So I am wondering how long does it exists and how widespread naturopathic practice is? How long I was living in ignorance?

Donâ€™t worry, nobody knows everything. It is important that you are wiling to learn. Naturopathic was first mentioned in Germany before 1900. But the first naturopathic school and college was founded in New York at 1905. It spreads trough United States and by 1935 there were a several naturopathic colleges. Today a naturopathic practice is present in many countries around the world, but on different levels of acceptance.
