saw palmetto helping with testosterone levels in women, esp. PCOS?

Hello, I guess I need some advice with herbal meds. I have to admit that I don't have much experience with those, although I realize it is the best thing, especially when it comes to prevention. A friend of mine is having problems with PCOS especially, will saw palmetto help with testosterone level in women?

You are right, even though some herbs might prove very effective when the condition occurs; they are not good only for prevention. Licorice for example might be very successful for treating peptic ulcers. As for saw palmetto, as far as I know it is very helpful with treating enlarged prostate and BPH – benign prostatic hyperplasia.
