Hi. I am a 48 years old man and I have a daughter that is so skinny that you can see her bones. First she was on a diet, but than she started starving herself. I work long hours, so I didn't even notice. Man...We had to take her to the doctor because of low blood pressure. What is a therapy for eating disorders like this one?
Anorexia is dangerous, and there isn't a simple cure for it. Therapy for anorexia is quick weight gain, and treating of the symptoms that follow anorexia. . That is exactly low blood pressure, abdominal pain, etc. As you know, it is a problem that needs attention of a psychiatrist, so some counseling, or support groups are needed.
