treatment for spinal stenosis?

I have problem and I need an advice. I have spinal stenosis. It is diagnosed after a few examinations. I had back pain for a few weeks. I don't like doctors and hospitals so I need some time to make a decision. Now I would like to know what the treatment of spinal stenosis is like because I am going to have a surgery.

First, they must make a correct anatomical diagnosis because there is possibility of choking nerve on two or more places on either side of the spine. It is important that surgery doesn't make new problems. They should not be too destructive for the normal tissue. They must determine your overall condition so you don't have consequences that may hurt you.
