abdominal cramping; a week after period ends

I am a 26 yr old married female with 2 children. My last period started on August 20th and only lasted 4 days. I usually last about 7-9 days. Saturday evening I was at a birthday party and didn't really feel right, so we came home. On the way home (only a 25 min drive) I started cramping on my right side. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen. We got home and I was in bad pain, doubled over hold my abdomen and crying. My mother suggested a hot bath and heating pad. The hot bath helped, but didn't relieve the pain much. The last few days I have felt this cramping. Should I really go to the doctor??? I just had my period, so I'm assuming It's from that??? Any advice or experiences would be very helpful.

A WEEK AFTER your period stops is close to the time many women OVULATE =)

So it can easily be ovulation cramping..
