| Hi, I would like to know something. I am athlete; well at least I was until I get pregnant. I love to exercise, especially my abdominal muscles, because they are very important in running. So, I would like to know is it possible to perform abdominal exercises during pregnancy? Can it hurt the baby? |

| There are special exercises for pregnant women to help them tight their abdominal muscles. The Pilates can be very helpful. It is very important to have taut transverse abdominal muscles. It can reduce your back pain by reliving the pressure from the back, labor can be easier because you learn how to control your abs, after the pregnancy your rectus muscles will get back to place quicker so you will have flatter stomach sooner after pregnancy. |
