I had an abdominal hysterectomy just over 2 weeks ago. I have had some discomfort but have come through it in relatively good condition. I lifted some heavyish items a little early and now wonder if the lumpy swelling over the suture site is permanent.

I had an abdominal hysterectomy in August 1998 and although my scar has reduced in size it still has swelling. When I have been on my feet a lot and running around it tends to get "lumpy" and strange shaped.
