I am 25 years old woman and I care my first pregnancy. That’s why I had a lot of different questions that I wanted to understand. Most of them were explained to me, but there is one thing I can’t understand. Why I feel some kind of abdominal soreness, is that normal or means something is wrong with my baby. Is that problem that occurs always when woman is pregnant or just sometimes?

There is one theory which says that some women have higher levels of pregnancy hormones. That cause they are more likely to suffer from severe morning sickness and abdominal soreness. Up until 16 to 18 weeks of pregnancy fatigue is very common. After that, women start to regain her energy and usually feel pretty good for the next three to four months. It’s a little unusual to feel more tired in the second trimester then the first. But it is important that all woman experience discomforts and pain in abdomen in early pregnancy. Most are mild variable in duration, location, description and pattern. It is called “muscular discomfort” when there is just abdominal soreness without any other symptoms, and this case is the most commonly. Abdominal wall is composed of muscles and fascia supports and the round ligaments that attach to the uterus run through the abdominal wall. Treatment for this is symptomatic, using local warmth or tepid bath, massage, position, support garments and Tylenol. As you see this abdominal soreness is absolutely normal appear with each women and that shouldn’t make you worry, but anyway you might discuss it with your gynecologist.
