I just got my son's lab results and it seems that his clotting times are abnormal. They told us he needs vitamin k and that he need another test tomorrow. He should have surgery next week and person from the lab told us if second test results show abnormal clotting, surgery would be delayed. I am not sure what to do now?

Same thing happened to me, I took vitamin k for 24 h and did labs again, however the vitamin K did not do the trick so they sent me to see hematologist. I took antibiotic before this. I don’t know maybe that is a reason for abnormal clotting. I am angry they scheduled these preop appointments only 1 week before surgery.
