abnormal pap test a typical cell change - help

i wnet to my gyn and had my pap test. it came back with a change is my cells. the dr gave me a vaginal cream cleoci and told me to use it for 7 days and the come back to him in 2 to 3 weeks to get another pap test.
he told me not to worry that in 99% of the cases its nothing and the next pap test should be ok. I am confused. What does this mean???
