Hello. I am a woman 20 years old and I have a friend that has anorexia. She wasn't eating properly for a while now, and I didn't get how her parents could have missed it. She even went to hospital because of chest pain. She is being treated now, and I believe that everything is going fine now. Tell me one thing. How are these disorders being treated anyway?
Anorexia, and other similar eating disorders are treated by a diet, so the patient would gain some weight quickly, and by counseling with a psychologist or a psychiatrist. The great thing for coping with anorexia recovery is support groups. They work really well. A person must want to help herself in order for other people to help her.
