|

Hi
I am deepakraj from india. My father got a white lump near his left testes. Then it started to grow big and his testes grew bigger. Then we consulted the doctor. On advise of the doctor we admitted him in the hospital. After five days of giving him antibiotics the puss started to come out. And the puss started moving up to the abdomen forming a huge lump filled with puss. The next day the doctor operated him for abscess scrotum drainage, cutting from testes towards the bottom of abdomen and removed the puss. I asked the doctor what was the cause for the infection. He said, he isn't aware of the infection exactly, because my father does not have sugar or cholestrol. And said it maybe because of some skin infection from the surface the skin through some bacteria or fungus.
After seven days they discharged him leaving the wound opened to heal without stiching and stopped the antibiotics. After one week he visited the doctor and there was little infection. The doctor took some puss and sent it to the lab for testing. Then again he was given antibiotics for the infection for another five days. And still now he is taking the antibiotic.
Can anyone please tell me what should I do next. Since my family is not aware of this infection. Tell me about medecine to be consumed, is there anyother treatment, eating habits after the operation?, what to do next? and other details. It will be more helpful for us.
Regards and thank you
deepakraj. |

Well, i have been often getting abscesses in my groins and yes, they are bacterial infections. I was always given oral antibiotics and antibiotic ointments to apply to the effected part. Whenever I took antibiotics the lumps would disappear after a few days.
However, sometimes my infections grew to be a size of a golf ball and they would hurt a lot. That was before I decided to visit a doctor. I never drained, i was applying cabbage to bring out the inflammation and the ball would burst on its own after 3-4 days. |
