Hi. I`m 24 and have acrylic nails. Recently I have noticed some discoloration of my natural nails. I like my artificial long nails and a technician have told me that they can`t do me any harm (he said that they contain ethyl methacrylate and that`s why they weren`t cheap). But this discoloraton really worries me. Could it be some sort of infection?

Hi. Not sure about that. Everybody say that acrylic nail can`t harm you. However, you must treat them with care, because any damage caused due to the fixture of acrylic nails could lead to a problem for natural nail growth. The infection is possible and, if it occurs, your natural nails may become discolored. Rarely, there is a possibility of an allergic reaction to components of acrylic nails.
