Hi, what is right dosage of Adderall for children? I heard that sometimes ADHD medicines are overdosed, specially in children?

Hi, generally amphetamines should be applied at the lowest possible dosage. No matter what is the indication late evening doses should be avoided because of the resulting insomnia. Children under 3 years of age are not recommended to take any of these medicines at all. In children from 3 to 5 years of age, starting dose is 2,5 mg daily. If needed, this dosage can be increased in increments of 2.5 mg for a week. Apart from medications very important are psychological help and social surrounding for overcoming ADD.
