Hello! Some of my friends from the campus have been using adderall drug when partying for the sense of euphoria. Two days after, one of them burst in zits. I am wondering if there could be a connection between adderall abuse and the outbreak on her face. Thank you!

To tell you the truth, I wouldn’t know. My child is on adderall for ADHD and I know many of the youth today are using it for other purposes. I have been around different forums for adderall side effects and I don’t recall anybody complaining about the zits. You should also know that no one experiences Adderall side effects in exactly the same way. Please, try to warn your friends about the possible danger of adderall, especially if used in mixture with alcohol or MAO inhibitors.

| The use of adderall is really a common thing for studying/partying since adderall seems to allow you to focus on school material as well as consume more alcohol. I've seen this issue in terms of breakouts, so deffinitely something to consider before taking adderall or concerta |

| i never had the best skin. but when i started to take adderall, my face broke out really bad, and nothing has been able to help clear it up any. alot of people say adderall doesn't cause acne but adderall does contain amphetamine-dextroamphetamine, which both cause acne. i need it for school so i can't just stop taking it, but i wish my skin would clear up. so you're not the only one with this problem, i know how you feel. |

| I have had the same problem too... but I have been on Adderall XR for 5 years - and I was on birth control for all five until recently and then I started breaking out! I think the birth control kept it under control while I was on Adderall.. and I was never used to Acne so its a big annoying change damn it! |

i'm 21/F and I've been taking adderall XR 10mg off and on throughout college, i only recently started taking it 4-5 days a week. I have been getting these weird bumps all over mostly on my face and chest (i never had one pimple in my life before this!) their flesh colored to begin with and look like they are "pop-able"(with clear liquid) but if u try it just gets all swollen and red and stays there for like a week. My dermatologist prescribed me some face wash and ziana gel, which kind of helps but mostly turns them into scabs and makes my face peel, but it still looks better than a big whelp! I've always had clear skin and now i'm gettin married in june and this is getting really stressfull. everyday i wake up and theres like 3 new ones. I also started breaking out after i quit taking birth control (while on adderall) but i started back and theres no change. I really need the addy for school but it aint worth this! anyways post something if u have something similar to these acne looking bumps.
oh and is it just me or does adderall make u wanna chain smoke some menthols lol, i only smoke when i'm on adderall and i cant take it w/o smokin a cig every once in a while |

what r u talking about?? every where i read they say that it can cause a drop in testosterone and increase in GH levels. if u can provide me with the contact to that doctor i would love to talk to him. |

| Ok I know many of these are really old, but I began taking Adderall. My dosage was upped to 30mg July 3rd. Since then I get these weird bumps also. Like bug bites but they are big and red and take forever to go away. I'm not sure if they are acne, but they make my face look horrid! Is it the Adderall. After reading these I think so... |
