My child had a adenotonsilectomy earlier today it went well, however, she has been vomitting everything she takes in. Any suggestions?

Hi, my four year old daughter has the same procedure PLUS tubes scheduled for July. I am reading up on what happens post op. A good suggestion I am going to try is to give little sips or even to try and get a little tiny bit at a time in her to stave off dehydration. I mean literally to give a half to whole teaspoon of liquids every ten or fifteen minutes for the first day or so post op. Hope this helps. I know from having my wisdom teeth out that the little bit of bleeding that may occur down a throat, coupled with the effects of the pain meds and the anesthesia that lingers after a surgery made me very nauseous and I could only have frequent small sips.
