Hello. My 5 year-old son has been taking adderall for four months now and I can’t stand to watch him suffer this much. We haven’t noticed any changes in his problem but I noticed some really bad behavioral problems that occurred when he started taking this drug. He would just get angry suddenly with no reason at all, he would go around the house slamming doors and this is just not the way a five year old should behave or suffer. I don’t know what to do? Look for another treatment or….? Is there anybody who could relate to this problem?
You and many others are experiencing such problems with adderall. When I was searching for info on this drug I ran into many examples like yours. Yes, I believe you should talk to the boy’s doctor and try to find another solution for him. I heard that there are organizations that offer non adderall treatments for Adhd. Good luck!
hey i was just doing a search for adderall side effects mainly because i do it recreationaly and was wondering about it but i read this and i thought id offer a solution...i was reading on herbal remedies etc. and from what ive read scullcap can be used to treat A.D.D. oh and one other word of advice dont try ridalin(sp?) i was on it as a child and it caused my depression to become uncontrollable i would cry for no reason so to summerize try scullcap dont try ridalin and if you stick with adderall make sure when your son gets older he doesnt sell it to pot-heads like me
