Hello,
I have a 4 month old set of twins that were born at 31 weeks, they spent a month in the hospital and spent appox. 2 weeks on oxygen. My oldest, my little girl seems to be making some sort of noises. I wouldn't say that she wheezes, it's more like a snort and most of the time like she's gasping for air. It's not just when she is asleep, she does this all during the day, and it's very loud and annoying. I have taken her to her pediatrician twice and to a clinic once, they say that her lungs are clear and hear no wheezing, and wouldn't consider it asthma, but to shut me up ( i believe) her pediatrician gave me albuterol and orapred but it doesn't relieve anything...I nurse heard her one day when i was taking my little boy to the doctor but she was unsure of what the sound was as well, but my mother says that her friends child might have had the same problem and it turned out to be their adnoids, could this be my childs problem? Who should i see to get this situation resolved? Do i need to record her breating to let them hear exactly what i am hearing.
