advice on prescription pain pills

Over a year ago I went to see a foot doctor because my feet got to where they were killing me. I was told I needed surgery for bunions. Freaked out and would not do it. I started taking vicodin es. I've been taking about 3-4 pills a day. I am 27 weeks pregnant and I am afraid what the withdrawl will do to my baby if I try to quit. Can the doctor help with a medicine besides methodone? I don't want any part of that. I have an appointment coming up and I don't know how to raise the subject to him. Please help!!
