Hello! I have had hysterectomy done three weeks ago and now I am experiencing the strangest thing. My vagina makes farting noises. Now, I have hears that this may happens during sex but it actually never happened to me. It is very funny and uncomfortable and I wouldn’t want it to happen while there is somebody else around. Is there anybody who has experienced the same thing? Did you manage to control it? Thx heaps!

Hello. The same thing was happening to me after hysterectomy, I was just embarrassed to much to say to anybody. Not even my husband knew. I mean, they weren’t soooo often but still it happened. I kept quite about it and just waited to pass. But, if it bothers you so much, maybe you could talk to your doc, I am sure he has some knowledge about it, as it seems that it is something that happens after the procedure.

| i too have experienced vaginal farting but even before my hysterectomy. i know its a funny feeling and yes embarrassing.. but it can go away like mine. i forgot all about it until i read yours. |

| Someone please help me. Im a 15 year old girl and i have never been sexually active. Yet lately, i have noticed that if i lie on my back and put my legs in the air i pass wind through my vagina!! its funny i dont know why but it just makes me laugh because it is so loud..but im panicking really badly now!! 5 months ago i had an operation due to having an imperferate hymen? Do you think this is connected with it or am i just a weird person who can trump both ways?? |

| I have this happen more often than i would like. i just asked the gyn today and she didnt know what to really say. she said to kegel excercises, but i want another response. i used to make myself do this on purpose when i was young, but now it happens on its own at work or in yoga, or during intercourse. i would like advise as well[/code] |

| I think you might find that it is related to a weak pelvic floor. I would recommend doing daily pelvic floor excercises. |
