after suboxon

is it true that if you have taken suboxon (in my case for one year about a quarter pill per day and i have been off it for about a week) you will have withdrawl symptoms if you take another opiate. i was prescribed tylenol with codeine.........?

Suboxone may cause withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly-I know that for sure. But if your doctor prescribed another drug after suboxone, s/he might have a good reason for it. Most of the doctors make sure you have minimal withdrawal symptoms, and it’s been a week since you stopped. Have you already started taking the other drugs?

What did your doctor tell you about this? Talk to him/her if you experience any of the withdrawal problems. It seems that withdrawal symptoms are inevitable with suboxone but you have been given another drug and it has been a week. The withdrawal symptoms usually start the next day.
