albuterol's not helping my cough

I need an advice. I have chronic bronchitis. It can be very annoying disease believe me. I have a regular family doctor who is monitoring my condition. He gave me albuterol in tablets. But it seems that something is wrong. I cough all the time. Can you tell me what is wrong?

Cough is one of albuterol's possible side effects. You should check do you take the right dosage. Also you should swallow the tablet right away you should not split, chew or crush them. Maybe you are allergic on this or this kind of medicines. Do you use some other medications along with albuterol? Anyway go to the doctor and explain the situation.
