I do know that when I get cramps, I take a shot of rum (brown not clear) and the cramps are gone within minutes. WHen they come back in 2-3 hours, I just take another shot and they're gone again. This only works with rum.
It's not enough to get you drunk but it really does the trick. I even take some to work during my period.
It works for all the women I know who have tried it.
