aleave for pain & cramping

I use to take aleave to reduce cramping and pain in pms. It usually helps that way, but cause stomach upset and acidic taste. Can I take antacid with aleave? I’ve heard that antacids can affect absorption of some drugs when taken together. Would it be wrong to take it?

You can take aleve with antacid, there’s no such an interaction between these drugs. Aleve should be taken with milk or food to prevent stomach upset. I use to take it also, 200mg daily helps a lot in pms. Aleve is acid by its chemical formula, so it is normal to cause such a taste in mouth. Taking it with food or antacid can prevent damage of gastric mucosa.
