What does ftir mean and how is it related to aluminum hydroxide? I use Maalox from time to time. I have some gastric problems and it often helps me. I’m just interested in that ftir. Does anyone have information about aluminum hydroxide ftir?
Ftir means “Fourier transform infrared”. It is a kind of method that is used to detect solid aluminum hydroxide. As I know, Maalox is drug whose activity is based on aluminum hydroxide, but ftir has nothing with that. Ftir detects that compound like corrosion product of aluminum. It is psychical method which may be used in medicine, but I’m sure it is not new dosage form of Maalox.
