I am only 27 but my friends think I am going through the change already! I have hot flushes all the time, I am exremeley moody and very very angry for 1-2 weeks every month, my periods are still regular but have become at times very heavy with clots which I have never had before.I get chest pains and my heart pounds a lot, I have also become very nervous and worry about everything (travelling is a particular problem)and I get very wound up over the smallest things. I know 27 sounds young but I have had 3 children and I think this has made me older than my years!

It sounds as though you may have fibroids which is very common in younger women; you will need to speak to your GP and he will send you for a scan, which is the only way they can be detected. If you do have fibroids, DO NOT take the first and most popular treatment which is a hysterectomy, ask your GP for fibroid embolisation treatment (which is injections into the main femeral artery injecting a substance which will embolise (stop the blood flow) to the fibroid, you may be in hospital for a day or two but able to return to work within a week - good luck
