Hi, please help. I had been on a combined pill for the last 9 years. I finished my last pill in August 2005 and have been trying ever since to get pregnant. I have had irregular periods, 35, 41, 34, 38, 35 and now it is the 43rd day and still no period. I have has cramps for approx 10 days and kept rushing to the loo thinking i was about to come on. I am very bloated and feel like i am on my period. Yesterday morning i had some small light brown discharge (approx 2pence coin size), so i did a pregnancy test which was negative! today i have had a little bit more brown watery disharge when i wiped myself but hardly anything to talk about. Could this be implantation bleeding? was it too early to test? please help any advice welcome.  [/b] |

Considering your periods are so irregular, it is quite possible that this was implantation bleeding and in that case, yes, it was too early to test. Home pregnancy tests are definitely accurate 6-7 days following implantation, so you should wait for a few more days and get tested again.
It is, unfortunately, very hard to say anything without the tests because many pregnancy or implantation symptoms resemble PMS symptoms, including discharge, cramping, breast tenderness, abdominal and low back pains and if we add irregular periods to al of this, it can make out heads hurt!
I have no words of wisdom for you unless to wait a few more days and get tested again. I hope you did get pregnant this time! Let me know! Good luck! |
