Hi,my name is stacy. last week on wednesday i had sex with a 30 year old man and im 16!! I dont know how it happened myself. We didnt use a condom or anything and i am not on birth controll. 2 days after we had sex I started bleeding! its a red and brownish colour, im not sure if im pregnant or not. I thought i could be my period but my period wasnt suppose to be for another 10 days!!.. what DOES this mean? im scared and confused... Please help me

The bleeding could be 1 of two things as far as I know. 1st it could be the effect of an infection around the cervical tissue. You also could have started your period sooner. In any case you can take a pregnancy test from the store after a missed period or about 6 days after the sex. You need to get tested for pregnancy as well as the full spectrum of STI's. Even if the 30 year old didn't have any obvious symptoms he can still have an STI and not know it. Your local planned parent hood can do all of these for you. There are two meds I would ask about, Emergency contraception, and HIV Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) This could be a difficult time for you, Planned parenthood can help.
