Hello, folks. My mother suffers from atrial fibrillation (AF). I would like to know which medication will be better for her - amiodarone or digoxin. Which one is better for controlling AF? I would really be grateful for all your replies. Thank you in advance for all your answers. Bye, folks!

Hi, there. Amiodarone and digoxin are medications that are commonly used for controlling AF. Beta blockers can be used also. The aim is to make hear rate less than 80 per second. My neighbor uses amiodarone as far as I know. I am not sure which one is better. I think that is a question more suitable for cardiologist. You should check with your mother’s. I hope she will be better. Bye!
