amiodarone added to my warfarin therapy!

Hi, folks. I suffer from arrhythmias and I am on regular anticoagulant therapy. I use warfarin regularly. However, I was added amiodarone to my treatment. I would like to know whether this combination is all right. Are there any interactions between these drugs? I would appreciate if anyone could reply me. Thanks.

Hi, there. Amiodarone is very potent drug. It is very effective when it comes to ventricular arrhythmias. Combination of amiodarone and warfarin increases the International Normalized Ratio (INR). In a word, this combination increases the possibility of bleeding. However, this combination can have some advantages. You should discuss this with your cardiologist.
