Hello! I am 35 year-old woman and lately I have been experiencing hot flashes. I know this is a sign of menopause or premenopause, and I am just confused. I mean, could I be in the premenopasue already. Am I not too young? I am also taking amnesteem for my acne problem for about 4 months now.
Hi there! It is possible that you have entered premenopasue. Perimenopause can last from the age of 35 until 45 but in your case I would rather suspect amnesteem. This acne drug contains Isotretinoin, a substance that is also present in accutane and I am sure you have heard of side effects of Accutane. Side effects of these drugs range from “mild” like dry and peeling skin; itching; rash; thinning of hair; fatigue; or dry mouth, nose, or eyes till severe like suicidal thoughts and even death, so I wouldn’t be surprised about hot flashes either. If I were you, I would seek medical advice and help!
