Of course there are, both physical and mental. An anorexic person may suffer from shrunken bones, mineral loss, low body temperature, irregular heartbeats, permanent failure of normal growth. They can also develop osteoporosis and bulimia nervosa.
If a person is using laxatives, this may wear out the bowel muscle and cause it to decrease in function. People suffering from anorexia usually need counseling to help them overcome their problem.
