anxiety, mood swings, dizzyness and nausia on implanon

i have had the implant for less than a month & i am already experiencing mood swings - everything from anxiety to tearyness to rage - i have had these moods before but more mild & they pass quickly. these can last days.

i have also experienced dizzy spells [a few times a week], shortness of breath & mild nausia. these side effects are severe enough to create problems for my day to day life & aren't much fun for my partner or anyone else for that matter.

is there a medication or treatment program for these problems? how long should i expect them to last or should i consider removing the implant for the sake of my mental health & relationship? the mood swings in particular are a bit frightening for me.

I cannot use HORMONAL BC methods for the same reasons that you are having right now, they cause my depression and mood swings to worsen.

I take anti depressants, and have for years, so I am GREAT. BUT, if I use hormonal BC, then I will not be great at all.

Have you considered taking anti depressants? You may also consider an IUD. NON hormonal IUD's are awesome.
