Hi! I am 42 years old woman, and I don’t travel at all. All my live I live in same place. I have anxiety about traveling. But, my daughter is pregnant, and she lives in one big city. I want to be with her, but I can’t travel! Tell me what I should do.
Hi! You are not alone. Anxiety affects many people who travel. Fear of flying, fear of confined spaces, and worries about medical conditions worsening during flight are common sources of anxiety. Anxiety can cause insomnia, making jet lag worse. Cognitive therapy and desensitization programs may also help. Sedatives or antianxiety drugs may be necessary as well. I had similar problem, I was on cognitive therapy, and I used some antianxiety drugs. Find some good psychotherapist. Good luck!
