Can you tell me something about anxiety and memory problems. My wife has been having these anxiety trouble in last two years. I assume that this all began when she had a miscarriage about in that period. She has fears concerning our other two children. She is always panicking about their future, how will they deal with the world, things like that. Lately, I have noticed that she cannot remember certain events from the past, or that she remembers them differently then they actually happened. What is going on here?
The problem with anxiety is that it can take many forms and lot of different things could be the focus of one's fears. It is even possible that her memory changes. She remembers situations the way her anxiety is showing them to her. She sees the world through her anxiety prism, even memories are included. She must use medicaments and even start with therapy where she will be taught how to think about the present, not the future.
