I have only been on Yaz for 2 weeks, within these 2 weeks I have noticed a huge difference in my sex drive, I am never in the mood..its incredibly discouraging to me and my boyfriend. Has anyone else experienced a significant loss in sex drive using Yaz?

On Yaz for five weeks. Headache EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE STARTING IT. I would rather use condoms and foam the rest of my life than deal with this.

I asked my doctor for a sample of YAZ. I wanted to see if it would help with my extreme irritability before my period. At first every thing seemed good and my moods did seem to even out quite a bit. However, I experienced extreme fataigue like I had never experienced before. It was so bad that I could not pull myself out of bed in the morning, I layed down at lunch time and I had no enegy to do anything but to sit in front of the computer all day. Without the pill, I normally have one or two days where I'd prefer to relax and lower the activity level but this is nothing like I experienced on YAZ. Yaz multiplied the effect and stretched out this condition for about 5 days. Plus I was also needing to eat every 1 to 3 hours. I did start taking two iron pills a day and that did seem to help give me some energy back.

I started Yaz and after 1 month I began feeling different. I was very moody, depressed, would pick fights over nothing, very anxious, loss of appetite and experiencing heart palpatations.

I thought I was going crazy and could not understand what was going on. Finally I put two and two together and asked to stop the pill. After stopping I felt fine.

PostPosted: 08/01/07 - 15:17    Post subject: YAZ Depression Side Effect Solution Vote now! Reply with quote

Ive been taking YAZ for about 4 months now and I have also felt all the symptons everyone else has such as the fatigue, irritability, need to cry and depression. When I told my gyno about the depression, she flippin told me that I shouldnt be feeling that way before YAZ has stuff in it so it would NOT cause depression. I just said alright and thought it was me but after reading all you ladies and everyone of you having the same symptons, I dont know what my doc was smokin. But I had asked other doctors around where I live and some of my friends who are on depression medication and everyone said for just the depression... taking the Vitamin B-12 helps relieve the depression. So about a month ago I went to Target and for $3 or 4 bucks, I got 100 tablets of the Vitamin B-12, you take it once a day and with a meal and it has helped me not feel as depressed. It really depends on your body and seriousness of depression but at least you could try it for a few dollars... it's worth it, you're worth it. Hope this helps!! Wink

I took YAZ for two days and didn't realize there were any side effects since I had taken pills many years ago and never had any side effects!..anyway, I started taking them and had MIGRANES AND NAUSEOUS. Felt as tho I was going to vomit but held back doing so....My migranes and nauseous were so bad that they woke me up the two days I was on it...I called the doctor's office and pharmacy, both of which said they were totally shocked and only heard good things about YAZ and said I probably had a bug...a bug??? Today is the first day I am YAZ free and I am back to myself...I hope people read this before going on it....just so you know what to expect.

Thanks for reading!!!

PostPosted: 08/17/07 - 11:32    Post subject: Yaz has killed my emotions!! Vote now! Reply with quote

I'm so glad to read everyone's comments on this birth control pill. I was really excited to start Yaz when my doctor recommended it but now in my first week of the 4th month I am completely miserable. My sex drive was that of a normal 33 year old before taking the pill and that is completely gone. I have been experiencing very blurry vision, constant fatigue and dizziness. I have noticed a complete lack of being able to feel any emotions other than sadness or anger. I'm calling my doctor today to hopefully get switched, does anyone have an alternative they recommend that is low estrogen?
