PostPosted: 11/08/07 - 20:59    Post subject: yaz Vote now! Reply with quote

i've been taking yaz for a little over 2 months now. i suffered from pretty bad pms and some depression before so it is hard to say what is the result of my usual problems and what is the result of yaz. i will say that my skin is much clearer, i haven't gained weight and my breasts are a little bigger (which for me is a good thing). However, i've been feeling more stressed out than ever, very anxious, and the littlest problem at my job (where i'm known for my calm demeanor) now sends me over the edge. my early side effects, which were nausea and headaches, slowly disappeared so i'm hoping that the anxiety will also. i'm giving it exactly 2 more weeks until my next period... if i still feel crazy, i plan to stop.

good luck everyone. it's hard being a woman sometimes!!!! Confused

I have been on YAZ for 3 months - massive migranes and mood swings AND fatigue. Not sure it's worth it, plus it does nothing for the sex drive. anyone else sharing a similar experience? Thanks...

I was on the YAZ for one month. Doctor prescribed it for my severe PMS or PMDD. I became a completly different person. I was angry all the time for no reason, crying, pick fights, gained weight, breast were VERY sore, tired all the time, my acne became worse, tired, very very depressed. By the 4th week I was crying in my bed, didn't want to get up and even thought about killing myself. Not to mention, lost my sex drive completly. Even called my doctor thinking I needed to start anti-depressants. I have not refilled my prescription and have been off YAZ for about a week now and I feel back to normal. Everyday gets better. YAZ was a nightmare for me!!

I have been taking Yaz for 9 months now (since March 2007) and I never had the symptoms that I have read from previous posts. For me it worked out really well. My skin became clear, lesser migraines, no more mood swings, I get my periods on time, no cramping, no breast tenderness... It was my first shot at taking birth control pills and I am glad it worked out for me.

Tiredness
Does anyone have pregancy synthoms????

I have some of the same side effects,I've only been on Yaz for 3 weeks and every since I started taking,I've felt pregnant! My breast are tender,I'm having migrains everyday,my face is starting to break out and I wake up so thirsty. I'm not sure that I like this Yaz. I use to take LoEstrin Fe and it worked ok,I use to have breakthrough bleeding though. I don't have that with Yaz.That is the only good thing about it!

I have only been taking Yaz for 3 weeks and every since I started taking it I get headaches, and my breast are tender. I've been pregnant twice so I know the symptoms and I totally feel pregnant every since I started taking Yaz! I'm not sure I like it. It does help me though with my PMDD!

PostPosted: 11/17/07 - 20:59    Post subject: Depression, acne and tender breasts immediately after starti Vote now! Reply with quote

This is the first time I have taken birth control, and I am taking it not as a contraceptive device but as a way to treat PMDD. However, since starting Yaz one week ago, I have felt the same depression and suicidal feelings that typically accompany my period. I started taking Yaz, as prescribed, on the first Sunday after my period started. The week that I have been on Yaz - my immediate post-period week - is usually one in which I feel fine. However, like I said, I am feeling severely depressed. I do not want to panic and quit Yaz prematurely if it can help, but I do not want to prolong these feelings if they are not going to abate. Has anyone had this experience, and if so, is this my body adjusting or should I stop taking the pills now? Thanks in advance.

I have been on Yaz for 3 weeks and I can not sleep enough. I feel like im in a comma. I cant do school work ,I cant wake up for work and all I want to do is sleep! Also I am extremely irritable and have been snapping at loved ones. My face is clearer than ever and I have lost my appetite, two things that are a plus! Im giving it another month and if the bad symptoms dont go away ...I will immediatly stop this "makes you feel pregnant" medicine.

Well I hope I don't get any of these symptoms. I have been on Yaz for a month and proir to Yaz I hadnt been on any birth control for 4 years. I was diagnosed with PMDD last month due to the fact that I was a ragging b**** to the one I loves most. I was a nightmare. I would have outburst, crying spells, irrability, cramps, major back pains, wieght gain.....everything under the sun. And it was bad people!!!! Every single month for as long as I can remember I have had severe PMS. I have not had any symptoms of PMS since Ive been on Yaz. And I am so thankful. I hope it continues to work for me. I havent had any side effects besides being totally happy!!!!!!! Oh occasionally around 5PM I will get dizzy and feel a bit nausea but as soon as I eat it goes away. YAZ ALL THE WAY women who suffer PMDD.
