anyone else whose meds are not working?

My mother is in depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day. She lost weight although she is not on diet. She often complains about insomnia. As you may guess she is diagnosed with depression but hers meds are not working. She is taking Prozac 20 mg twice a day but her symptoms are persistent. anyone else whose meds are not working? What did you do about it?

I've taken these type of meds for quite some time due to may age (mood swings) and to help with pain (neck surgery).
I have had meds that do not work. Is your mother taking generic brand?
I take Paxil. When my insurance wouldn't pay for them and insisted I take the generic brand I tried them and they DID NOT work. I had to go back to paying premium price for brand name.
Also her dose may need adjusted to a higher one or maybe she just needs to switch to another kind of drug. I tried 2 or 3 before I found the right one for me.

My meds didnt work too. I did some complains to my doctor about it and insisted on adjustment of therapy. When he finally understood that I am serious about this he started with some checking. Finally I got different kinds of antidepressants tried each one and finally ended with Anaframil. So if you want to help to your mother force her to do something with hers doctor and hers therapy.
